What OS? What apache version?
Have you looked in httpd.conf (and included files)?
Have you tried to start apache and check file syntax?

Sorry!

Debian Etch
Apache 2.2.3

Error was a the syntax error "MaxRequestsPerProcess 500" in fcgid_ispcp.conf

After i commented this line out apache runs, but im not sure if the ispcp update skript went thru the hole process. Of course every time i re run the skript the error comes back.

well, trouble is in fcgid version.

Try to install latest libapache2-mod-fcgid from etch-backports
http://packages.debian.org/ru/source/etch-backports/backports/libapache2-mod-fcgid

Hello ;

yes, the fcgid module for etch is 1.10. This version does not support the "MaxRequestsPerProcess 500".

Thank you. The Backport fcgid did the job.
Installation went fine.

I've got the same problem, but in Debian Lenny 5.03. I've update OS to newest version (all packages).
