i don't have any 500 errors here either. it seems that made the trick...

RE: isp-control.net is laggy, - BioALIEN - 12-30-2007 10:31 AM

I've just got a few 500s on the forum. Lost some posts as a result. It seems this problem is not 100% cured.

I have also experienced the same problem on my own test site (P4, 256mb RAM, Debian Etch, php5, no mods)

It doesn't encourage trust in the project if we cant absolutely cure this bug. All big traffic sites will avoid ispCP as a result!

EDIT: I also got it when posting this message - how ironic Sad

dito, regularly get this 500 error...

RE: isp-control.net is laggy, - joximu - 12-30-2007 07:28 PM

isp-control.net always has some problems in the night (european time).
After 1 o clock (a.m., UTC + 1) everything is very slow and there are a lot of 500.

Upd: I think the backups are slowing down the server - I don't know how many sites are running on this server...

Why don´t you go to bed this time ?? Rolleyes

Yeah the Backup - but we can/could change it from bz -> gzip.
We talked about it in the German Corner, right ?

this is another storySmile

Yes this is right of course!
So we have to wait for ephigenie´s answer.

its right its the backup ... Sad

I already ordered a new server - as this one will remain in my old company (i sold).
The new one will be much more powerful Smile

On this server are around 250 Customers - so its pretty busy doing backup.
Although i changed the regular backups into rsnapshot backups ...

So pls give me 2-3 Weeks and everything will work super - fast Smile
But before i've to move house to munich (i live in Dresden until now).

Hi ephigenie

as we already stated, a "gzip" is much less cpu conserving than the bzip2 compression - and it's not *that* much bigger.

I think this would help many hosting companies - not everyone can buy a new and always fast server.
