upgrade, but what about customized templates/php.ini? - pgentoo - 01-03-2010 05:36 AM

Hi,

I'm about to do an upgrade of my system to 1.0.3.1, but I wanted to clarifiy a few outstanding questions first.

I have modified some of the templates for mono support, some additional redirect aliases, etc. I'm assuming i need to run a diff between the provided templates and my templates, and merge whatever changes i made into the new templates before running the upgrade.

However, what about php.ini's? I made some custom tweaks to some customers php.ini's based on their needs. Will these be overwritten by the upgrade, or do they stay untouched?

Thanks,
pgentoo

If you edited the php.ini file under /etc/ispcp you'll need to change it again. For existing site php.ini, those should not be affected.

Of course, make full backups to be safe.

Ok, that's what i figured. I'll definately take backups, i just wanted to plan out the upgrade effort as accurately as possible.

Thanks,
