I'm getting a similar problem when trying to login to ftp.
Also same with webmail.. Really the only ones that work are the admin and pma.
Every user I tried gives me a wrong password or account cannot be found..

- OS/Distro/Version?
- Is normal ftp (through a desktop client) working?
- proftpd related logs?
