Installing Lighttpd With PHP5 And MySQL Support On Debian
Hello to all,

i see this guide http://www.howtoforge.com/lighttpd_mysql...ebian_etch and i suppose is possible Installing Lighttpd With PHP5 And MySQL Support....
if i use onle guide step 3-4-5, i can after install ispcp?

You can, provided that you first remove lighttpd and that you remember the mysql's root password. Anyway, it would be better if you can just reinstall the whole OS and then install ispcp over there.

Ispcp is *not* compatible with lighthttpd.

Why then on page:

is there a lower case x in the Lighttpd row and ispCP column where the legend says:
"x = Yes but not with all Options"
?
I too am using Lighttp and before finding this thread expected to control it using ispCP (even if limited in options) because of what that chart shows.

Mhh, it was okay, i think. You can get the lighttpd work with ispcp with fastcgi (via suexec) I think. It won´t support all features, but basic functionality is given.

The point is that ispcp does not generate lighthttp-compatible configuration files for the client domains. Therefore, we should *not* say that ispcp is compatible with lighthttpd.

syscp doesnot either. but is is really easy to create a perl/python/php script which generate it from the mysql data.
