I would not recomend in any way to copy apache2.conf//httpd.conf settings..
i recommend all to follow or at least read this document from apache's web
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/misc/perf-tuning.html
and
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mpm_common.html
