Ticket #1077 (closed defect: wontfix)
Management of Config Backup Files

|Severity:||Medium||Keywords:||config files backup backups rotate|
I've recently checked my /etc/vhcs2/apache/backup folder, because I wondered how /etc/ can take up more than 500 MB on my System. And what I found was 1709 backups of the complete apache config. This system has been up and running for some years now, so that makes it look a bit more dramatic, but I still think one should consider this.
I'd like to discuss if we should automatically delete old config file backups after a pre-set amount of days.
