Information regarding the bug processing system for ispCP Omega
Closing bug reports
ispCP bug reports should be closed when the problem is fixed. Problems can only be considered fixed once the svn trunk includes the bug fix. The only people that should close a bug report are the development team members of ispCP Omega.
Priority levels
The ispCP bug system records a priority level with each bug report. This is set to 'normal' by default, but can be overridden either by selecting a priority via the bug report submission form.
The priorities levels are:
- blocker
Other software functions are affected by the blocking function, e.g. it is not possible to install the software.
- critical
makes unrelated software on the system (or the whole system) break, or causes serious data loss, or introduces a security hole on systems where you install the software.
- grave
makes the software unusable or mostly so, or causes data loss, or introduces a security hole allowing access to the accounts of users who use the software.
- major
a bug which has a major effect on the usability of the software, without rendering it completely unusable to everyone.
- normal
the default value, applicable to most bugs.
- minor
a problem which doesn't affect the software usefulness.
- trivial
a problem which is presumably trivial to fix.
- feature
for any feature request
