my vote is, why use a template engine at all, if we can take care of that by using a mvc struckture.

Figured it out after having a closer look at the template class. Just have to define what you want to print HEADER and PAGE for example.
Also I agree with the MVC structure suggestion, but understand this will be a long way off.
