Where is the Community ? - BeNe - 08-23-2007 09:19 PM Can we maybe put a Thread in the Forum which Dev-Member is active, not active, busy and so on ? This week raphael is still the one and only Dev here - thanks again man. Shin was here and said that he is back - but is he really back ? RatS and epigenie are also busy the last weeks. Rapheal said that the schools starts again and he has not much time now. Maybe gnif can close some tickets ? Killburn and Jan Pohrat did also great work. So what about a Dev-Member Active Status ? Greez BeNe RE: We need your help!!! Where is the Community ? - Shin - 08-30-2007 06:16 PM Yes I'm really back, I'm building my new workstation so I went offline for a little RE: We need your help!!! Where is the Community ? - BeNe - 08-30-2007 06:47 PM Perfect!!! As you can see - we need every helping hand ![]() Greez BeNe RE: We need your help!!! Where is the Community ? - dyvel - 08-31-2007 07:32 PM Hi I'm new to the community, but I've been following the development of ispCP for quite some time now. I'd wish I could help with development, but as many others I don't have sufficient experience. But it almost feels as the development is on hold ??? How about all developers took 1 day of for a day on ispCP - joined a channel on IRC/MSN and got hold on as many bugs as possible. Like a powerwalk for coding ![]() Sometimes when you been with a project for a long time you get tired of working on it and perhaps all the work have been alone. May be a community day with coding could help on that? I have a private server at home, and another hosted, but if I can help let me know. Oh, another thing - you might already know of it, but there's a guy who have developed a "hosting" component for Joomla that works with VHCS and now also ispCP - you can check it out at: http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,1759/Itemid,35/ You guys rock!. RE: We need your help!!! Where is the Community ? - BeNe - 09-01-2007 05:34 AM You mean something like a "Developer Day" to fix the Tickets ? Sounds good - but i don´t know if every Dev-Member has time on such a Day...that´s something you have to talk with them ![]() Greez BeNe RE: We need your help!!! Where is the Community ? - dyvel - 09-01-2007 05:37 AM A developer day is exactly what I mean... I think it really could boost the process and make it a bit more "fun" ![]() RE: We need your help!!! Where is the Community ? - BeNe - 09-01-2007 06:03 AM That´s what we need here a "Boost", so that we can jump over to a new Version and not stay over 4 Month on the same place like this small guy here ![]() Maybe such a Day could help. Greez BeNe RE: We need your help!!! Where is the Community ? - joximu - 09-03-2007 12:06 AM I have a proposal which might solve some "staying on the same place"... One of the main reasons RC3 is (more than) late is the Update-Script (from VHCS). Right? I think this way: some engaged developers would like to do more for ispcp, eg. testing/bugfixing etc etc but today it's necessary to update often to the newest SVN or snapshot - which is really not very interesting (if not boring). I think of developing something like a convert script for Plesk to ispcp but I don't start with this until ispcp is finished and somewhat stable. We had a lot of improvements in the last months but this is not the meaning of RC versions. My vote: Freezing the code/features and then we test this release really hard, find solutions for the bugs and then release. The Update script should wait a little bit - I'm sure there will be a group of people taking this over. This is my opinion. There were big steps made in the project but we lost the focus... I´m with you - ispCP must be stable and than we can start to convert from VHCS, Plesk, Confixx....
