Cant send emails through client, sending through webmail works. - karpik - 08-11-2012 01:54 AM
Debian Squeeze
ISPCP 1.0.7
First all worked OK, then I realised that all emails go to spam folder with gmail, yahoo, hotmail....
So I used this tutorial: http://isp-control.net/forum/printthread.php?tid=9283
After that I couldnt send email through email client, webmail sending works.
This is my /etc/postfix/main.cf

use port 587 and setup your mail client to also send username and password while sending the mail (smtp auth).

what's in the logs (mail.log) - in the time you are trying to send an email?
btw my recipient-block looks like this:
Code:
smtpd_recipient_restrictions = reject_non_fqdn_recipient,
reject_unknown_recipient_domain,
permit_mynetworks,
permit_sasl_authenticated,
reject_unauth_destination,
reject_unlisted_recipient,
check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:12525,
check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:10023,
permit

Triple checked . Any other ideas? Maybe it makes a difference as that tutorial was for Ubuntu and I am using Debian...

if you have the authdaemon running - stop it and try again.
maybe you can have a look at the /etc/sasldb2 file where alle the mail usernames (mailaddress) and passwords are stored... with a binary viewer you can see the passwords... so you can check if it's correct written there.
