weird "Can not open directory !"... - ledoktre - 07-23-2009 07:26 AM

Hey guys,

Awesome software. This shows up when using the "choose" function on either the protected areas, or creating ftp user area.

Can not open directory !
Please contact your administrator !

I have several other servers, running the same OS, same version, with no issue. I am trying to figure out why this is happening.

One other post ( click here ) suggested it was a problem with the vftp user's password.

I am not having any issue using ftp, only chosing the directory.

I did try resetting the password, and updating proftpd.conf file. Strangely, before and after the password change I was able to connect with the CLI mysql client.

What do you guys think?

Well, it seems I may have been incorrect in saying ftp was working fine. I am having the issue with logging into ftp - now am just trying to find out if just resetting the password, and then configuring the line in proftpd.conf is all thats needed?

So far, it is giving same results.
Got it all figured out. It did seem to be the vftp password. It's odd, because it is the one that the installation program generated.

All workin fine now :-)
