Subdomains not resolving

Hi all,

Been reading through the forums, but did not find a solution, so here I am.

I have a dedi-server at Hetzner.de. All is fine but I am unable to add any subdomains to my installation. I tried to add test.tld.de but it does not work. The subdomain is up and running but I cannot connect to it from home. On the server itself the subdomain reloves but is unreachable for the rest of the world. I added the subdomain to my zonefile, to no availe (waited a week). Now I took it out and replaced it by an asterix but still nothing works:

I've been at it for weeks but I just don't see where it goes wrong. Why is admin.tld.de working, why is mail.tld.de working, but why is test.tld.de NOT working?

Where are these NS records pointing? I assume that they don't get the subdomains, and therefore the "world" doesn't get the new subdomains either.

I am not sure I understand the question. These are the defaults for Hetzner, I did not put them in there.

So you are delegating the DNS authority to Hetzner's servers, while expecting that the "world" sees the changes that you make in your own server. Now you see the problem, don't you?

Euh, not really. I change the zonefile in the Hetzner DNS, not on my own server. I have no own dns running at the moment.

*Lol*, so it's not an ispcp issude and you should contact Hetzner support, not us...

EDIT: got it working, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Maybe Christmas was too much for me, sorry for that. I DO use my own DNS, but got completely mixed up, and so looked in the wrong place.
