I followed the tutorial, but when I run

/ etc / init.d / amavis restart

I have this error

very interessting thread. but why not chrooted service smtp and spamassassin?
one question for the profs can i use more than one mailadress, i.e. contact@ and info@ for one account? futher more can i choose in this account from which mailadress i send (send as)?

Because nobody has made the effort to (1) designed it, (2) figured out how to implement it in all ispcp's supported distros, and (3) implemented the necessary changes in ispcp.

Just create the second address as an alias (redirect without mailbox).

This is the MUA's task. In our webmail (squirrel), there's advanced identity management that allows you to send as both addresses, choosing the sender for each mail, etc...

Ok thx for that. So i will test my system in chroot. Found that with Alias . But where must i say from which adress i want to send? i only found it in the personal options. have i switch each time?

In the personal options, there's something like "Advanced identity management" (I use the webmail in another language). If you click on this message, it will show you a form where you can add multiple identities. Once you've added more than one identity there, a new drop down list will appear in the message composition page, allowing you to select the one to be used among the configured ones

I have only one field called e-mail address. No drop down.
