Exclamation [How To] edit POP 3 / IMAP server
Hello everyone !

I have a little problem on my ISP-CP server. Actually, I can't receive mail from other senders. I think my SMTP server for sending mails is configured succesfully, but POP3 or IMAP server doesn't work good. When I try to send a mail to webmail on my server, i get this error :

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

babic@*****.info

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try
550-5.1.1 double-checking the recipient's email address for typos or
550-5.1.1 unnecessary spaces. Learn more at
550 5.1.1 http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answe...nswer=6596 fo8si6684023qab.51 (state 14).

Please help me and sorry for my bad English Language.

Hi

ok, you send an email from your google webmail account to a mail account on your ispcp-box? right?

if the error message is correct then there are only two reasonable possibilities:
- the dns is not correct - so the wrong server gets the testmail and cannot deliver
- the mail account you try to send the testmail to does not exist: you need to create the account in ispcp!

Please be more specific...

Yep, as you said. I sent an email from mine google webmail account to a mail account on mine ispcp-box.

I have configured DNS servers on other server where I had bought my domain, because I have 4 PCs in my house and one server and that's why my internet connection is established over modem.

Ups, and I almost forget, that the domain and subdomains are from DNS server redirected to my IP. If somehow i can solv this problem, then please help me.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks again.

Mare.

If the DNS are correct then you should see a message in the mail log on your ispcp box (same time as the google error message...)
/var/log/mail

If you want, you can send me a PM with the domain name, a mail adress on it and the ip of the ispcp server.
