External mailserver
Is it possible to use an external mailserver in omega? At the moment vhcs configures the postfix so that if you host a contact form on a vhcs-server it sends the email locally. This means that the email sent from the form is not actually going to the external mailserver(it's not even checking the mx-records) but it goes to the mailbox in the vhcs-server. This mailbox doesn't even exist.

Is this local email configuration changed in the omega version?

RE: External mailserver
Its not as long as there is a dns - manager in there.
This is planned for a later release (not the initial 2.4.8)

Would you then like to completely disable the Email Configuration Options (if a extern Mailserver is set for that domain? )
Or do you mean managing an external server via Omega ?

RE: External mailserver
I don't have any need to manage the external server via omega, just to get the emails send via the form to go to the external mail server and to the right emailbox

RE: External mailserver
Hi,

I also noticed when I was testing your first product, the vhcs2.4.8RC1 and the omega in my servers, that hotmail is marking the emails spam because after the HELO there is a line where "Recieved: from users.personal.ip... " is defined again. Is it possible to remove this line, I think that the vhcs is creating that.

*E: If anyone has found where the header is configured, please inform.
By default, vhcs add 2 more Recieved: from(the personal.ip and and Recieved: from phpmailer) lines to the header, I would like to know where these are added.

RE: External mailserver
I want to setup a domain in Omega that uses a external mail server, too.

I first tough that I need only to setup the MX DNS record but I see that this is not the case because as I can see, correct me if I'm wrong, Omega adds the domain to Postfix and postfix thinks it should handle the domain, the problem:

Code:
Apr 12 10:27:10 ns1 postfix/pickup[16337]: EBE711AE2B9A: uid=33 from=<www-data>
Apr 12 10:27:10 ns1 postfix/cleanup[20036]: EBE711AE2B9A: message-id=<638f17e3df0efd9c2d87a7e34390d21e@domain.tld>
Apr 12 10:27:10 ns1 postfix/qmgr[26559]: EBE711AE2B9A: from=<www-data@tophosting.ws>, size=445, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
Apr 12 10:27:10 ns1 postfix/virtual[20038]: EBE711AE2B9A: to=<username@domain.tld>, relay=virtual, delay=0, status=bounced (unknown user: "username@domain.tld")

This is as I understand sent using a php script from the Omega server itself....
