RE: dns
maybe he looks for dns management.

There is no special dns management yet.
If you need special setings for one zone then you need to edit it manually (and make a copy to /etc/ispcp/bind/working)

RE: dns
or maybe specifying dns servers for the host operating system for name resolution?

Either add the dns servers to /etc/resolv.conf or if you have bind running you can specify forwarders in /etc/bind/named.conf.options

Edit : BTW the above is for Debian, other distros may differ

RE: dns
i used to use directadmin, there i can specify 2 dns servers with 2 ips, for example;
pyro.pacohost.com 83.170.73.104
ice.pacohost.com 83.170.71.180

i'm trying to do the same for ispcp

when i add a domain in directadmin, and register domain with dns server above.. domain resolves my ip.

"There is no special dns management yet."
how can you manage your dns ? by manual ? if so how ?

thanks

RE: dns
You need at least 2 dns servers for your own domains - theese are managed by ispCP.

In the control panel of a domain registrar (networksolutions, denic etc etc) you have to specify at least two DNS which are "responsible" for a certain domains - there you have to put the IPs of the two dns servers I was talking above...

RE: dns
Default is:

the first dns is the ispcp server itself
the second dns (IP) is given during setup...

RE: dns
think im having some DNS issues myself, dont know if this is the right place, but didnt want to open a new thread...

with r912 was working perfectly, but recently redid my system (fresh) and installed r932 (11/29/07), and now its not resolving my domain names. my nameservers are setup correctly, as it was working before. but now it wont even resolve domain names from the server?

really hoping for a new RC, because every time i install a new trunk it seems there is more broken than before

@genesisrage
You better should open a new thread because it's bad to mix several issues!
