New Installation, Apache wont start
Hi Folks,

i installed ispCP on my vServer (after others wont work) an it seems that ispCP wont work to.

I Installed ispCP as described in the Wiki/Howto and there were no errors. But Apache didn't start, following says the error.log

Code:
[Fri Mar 14 13:30:39 2008] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/lib/apache2/suexec)
[Fri Mar 14 13:30:39 2008] [notice] FastCGI: wrapper mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/lib/apache2/suexec)
[Fri Mar 14 13:30:39 2008] [notice] FastCGI: process manager initialized (pid 32667)
[Fri Mar 14 13:30:39 2008] [warn] FastCGI: server "/var/www/fcgi/master/php5-fcgi-starter" (uid 2000, gid 2000) started (pid 32668)
[Fri Mar 14 13:30:39 2008] [notice] Apache/2.2.3 (Debian) mod_fastcgi/2.4.2 configured -- resuming normal operations
[Fri Mar 14 13:30:39 2008] [alert] (12)Cannot allocate memory: apr_thread_create: unable to create worker thread
[Fri Mar 14 13:30:39 2008] [alert] (12)Cannot allocate memory: apr_thread_create: unable to create worker thread
[Fri Mar 14 13:30:41 2008] [alert] No active workers found... Apache is exiting!

I used google and found some threads about the amound of RAM. Iam a little bit confused, because the howto says its a recommendation. My server has 160MB RAM garanteed and 160MB shared (boost), i thougt this should be enough.

I hope someone could help me

Thanks from Bremen, Germany
Hannes

RE: New Installation, Apache wont start
The failcnt is quite low. Did you a server restart between this errors and checking the beancounters? Start apache again and check if privvmpages's failcnt increases. If this is the case, you should check the HowTo for systems with low resources and look for a vServer with more RAM.

This problem is realy clear! I have the same opinion than Cube.

Never!
But if you want to try it --> http://www.isp-control.net/documentation...ces_system
