html files not rendering... & 500 Error after reboot
Debian Etch
http://admin.socalit.ods.org

Been awhile and since RC5 for sure.

Just noticed actually and finnally able to see why my darn scribite module for postnuke 0764 isn't working properly!!!

the default index files are messed up somehow....

can't render a html or htm file any longer. looking in config for apache and ispcp.conf just can't remember location of ispcp.conf..

Next... possibly with the same problem. Since RC5 for sure
first time I load my Joomla 1.5 Sites I always get the Internal Error 500 page...

Hit refresh and its gone!

This system is pretty normal except for some tweaks to the repositories due to php5 causing extreme cpu loads.

let me know what more info you need and I'll get it for ya... if you can help!!

Thx!

quick example
http://www.oceanodunes.org/beta/index.htm
remove the .htm

it sees .html as a default doc but can't render it. Treats it like a file and give me the option to download it...

Found this post
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=...l=de&tl=en
translated and found part of the Etch Issue with htm files at least... now to figure out why it doesn't recognize html files or at least not all.

RE: html files not rendering... & 500 Error after reboot
as I'm researching it only seems to affecting one virtual domain.

the oceanodunes.org not the entire server just that one virtual domain.

okay... seems it was a problem in my php.ini or apache config itself...

I copied the php.ini from a working virtual site and placed it into the bad one and it seems to have corrected the issue...

also had to get my hostname cleaned up because my apache was reporting:

apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name

had to make them all match and wala.. after a reboot its a happy camper.. time for a Snapshot!
