Tach die Herren und Damen

Ich hab mir ein CentOS 5.2 inkl. ispcp Omega schritt für schritt nach den Anleitungen
http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-centos-5.2
und
http://www.isp-control.net/documentation...ion/centos installiert.

Leider zickt mein Maildeamon rum und lässt mich nicht anmelden.

Einzige Abweichung:

Mein Postfix scheint nicht im Chroot zu laufen...

Kannst du mir sagen wo ich unter CentOS die mail.err Datei finde? Tu mich da ein bisschen schwer die zu finden, hoffe aber auf wertvolle Tips darin...

BTW: das Problem hat meiner Meinung auch ncihts mit falschen DNS Einstellungen zu tun. Ich kann mich halt noch nicht mal anmelden, weder im Webmail noch in einem Mail Client ala Outlook

Und ja ich verwende selbstverständlich die volle E-Mail Adresse als Login Namen Wink

Soweit ich das noch weis loggt Centos alles in die /var/log/maillog oder ?

mail.err ist nur eine andere einstellung in syslog... Unter CentOs wird das nicht aufgeteilt, sondern es wird alles in die /var/log/maillog geloggt.

Dein hauptproblem ist:

und dein postfix läuft im chroot:
Prompt$> grep -v "^#" /etc/postfix/master.cf | grep "smtpd$"
smtp inet n - y - - smtpd

From the wiki:

Entweder kopierst du jetzt deine /etc/services in das chroot oder du stellst die linie in der master.cf auf:
smtp inet n - n - - smtpd

ich würde dir das letztere empfehlen... Wenn dann alles läuft kannst du dich um dein chroot kümmern...

Wenn die Logs alle in maillog sind, dann ergibt das Sinn das ich keine mail.err finde Smile

Da hab ich mich etwas unverständlich ausgedrückt, ich kriege als 5 Parameter ein n in der Ausgabe. Hab nur den Wiki Part kopiert damit ihr sehen könnt wovon ich genau spreche...
Also, ich bin mir sicher er läuft nich im Chroot, meine Ausgabe ist folgende:

Anhand der Verwechslungen meinerseits bin ich jetzt etwas überfragt was ich anpassen soll...

schau mal ob der smtp service in deiner /etc/services eingetragen ist...

oder ersetze smtp durch 25 in deiner master.cf (zu testzwecken natürlich)

ich habe alle mailserver hier unter centos am laufen (ohne ispcp) und nie ein ähnliches Problem festgestellt. Was hast du an deiner Installation verändert?
