problem install with mysql

hello all

i try to install ispCP on fresh install of ubuntu 8.10 but i have a problem with mysql

when i type :

Code:

mysqladmin -u root password sqlpassword

i have this error message :

mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)'

and i try perl ./ispcp-setup but this setup crash when he try to connect mysql

do you have an ideas ?
