Couldn't find that script.

But now I can't even get this to work:

It worked fine in VHCS. Now I just get a 404, and nothing in the logs.

Oh, it was the DNS Cash spooking again. That's sorted out, but now I have this error:

"The requested URL /php4/php4-fcgi-starter/index.php was not found on this server"

...when trying to reach userdir.domain.com.

This is my userdir.conf:

I've tried to add the ScriptAlias line, like this:

Then I get like a timeout, and error 500.

Error log:

Whata hell !
I can't even get it to work if I put an Alias to my ispcp.conf under my domain, like:

Alias /userdomain.com /var/www/virtual/userdomain.com/htdocs/

I get a 404
I'm sure it's the fcgi. I don't know how to fix it

Is there ANY WAY at all that I can give my customers a way to see their webpage without using THEIR domain ??

Maybe it's a user rights problem ?
Since the files in my customers domain folder are vu2054, maybe that's why I'm getting the 404 ? But I should have got a 403 then ? Hmmm...

I really need a way to give some of my customers a "subdomain" or alias or whatever you wanna call it.

I'm sure you can put som more Serveralias Names in the apache config...
(but also in /etc/ispcp/apache/working..)

instead of only
ServerName domain.ch
ServerAlias http://www.domain.ch domain.ch *.domain.ch
you make
ServerName domain.ch
ServerAlias http://www.domain.ch domain.ch *.domain.ch domain.cust.mydomain.tld

or something like that - of course the DNS fro *.cust.yourdomain.tld must point to the ispcp server. It's a manual way but should work... (until there is a better solution integrated)...

Maybe you can adapt the tpl files which are used to create new entries in the conf file..

First, I don't understand under what domain I should edit that ServerName and ServerAlias, under mycustomer.com or hostingcompany.com ?

Could you please make the same example as in your post above, but please use mycustomer.com and hostingcompany.com. Foolproof

Since you have to add this for every customer domain its like this:

old:

ServerAlias www.mycustomer.com mycustomer.com *.mycustomer.com

new:

ServerName mycustomer.com
ServerAlias www.mycustomer.com mycustomer.com  *.mycustomer.com mycustomer.cust.hostingcompany.com

the part ".cust." is only for the case a cusomer is named www oder mail - that would be a problem... :-)

Yes - of course the urls

mycustomer.cust.hostingcompany.com must resolve to the ip of the ispcp server.

so in the dns zone file of hostingcompany.com I' add something like this:

*.cust.hostingcompany.com 1D IN CNAME admin.hostingcompany.com.

or similar...
