[SOLVED] FTP Problems
Hello.

I have got problems with my FTP again after a reinstall of my server.

It is pretty similar to my old thread here, but I will post my logfiles anyway:

proftpd -n -d5 (after this command: "cp /etc/proftpd.conf /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf" as the default conf file isnt the ispcp one):
Quote: - disabling runtime support for IPv6 connections
- warning: the DisplayFirstChdir directive is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Please use the DisplayChdir directive.
- DenyFilter: compiling deny regex '\*.*/'
- <Directory /*>: deferring resolution of path
- PathDenyFilter: compiling deny regex '.quota$'
- <IfModule>: skipping 'mod_quotatab.c' section at line 123
- <IfModule>: skipping 'mod_ratio.c' section at line 138
- <IfModule>: using 'mod_delay.c' section at line 145
- <IfModule>: using 'mod_ctrls.c' section at line 149
- <IfModule>: skipping 'mod_ctrls_admin.c' section at line 157
- Fatal: unknown configuration directive 'SQLAuthTypes' on line 164 of '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf'

So.. It simply fails in startup..

What to do then?

RE: FTP Problems
Code:
- Fatal: unknown configuration directive 'SQLAuthTypes' on line 164 of '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf'
There is no mod_sql or mod_sql_mysql loaded.
Please check your modules.conf

RE: FTP Problems
BeNe: Uncommented both in the modules.conf file, but still didnt work..

ephigenie: i will do so.

[EDIT]

Allright, tried some of the things from the old thread, but simply cant make it work..

The problem is that the ftp server simply wont start because of this error

Quote:Fatal: unknown configuration directive 'SQLAuthTypes' on line 164 of '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf'

What to do next?

I have enabled the modules in the config.

RE: FTP Problems
Please post your modules.conf
SQL Modules must be included.

Package proftpd-mysql is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package proftpd-mysql has no installation candidate
