Sad Upgrade RC6 --> 1.0 failed
Hi @ all,

To be on the safe side.. I searched, found, but didn't find everything Smile

While upgrading to 1.0 i ran into the following error:
Code:
Upgrading system values...done
        Upgrading database structure...ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
failed!
        SQL Update failed.

Searching learned me that i need to restore a backup.. Now still searching which backup and which folder exactly Smile

I guess it's all about Step 6 in the upgrade guide, but which commands should i use to restore the needed stuff? Smile

I'm not a complete linux noob(debian in this case) but guess i don't want to overwrite my complete /etc/ directory..

Help? Smile

means just 1 things. You did not perform all steps for upgrading, more exactly you did not saved old configure files. Restore them from backup and restart upgrade.

RE: Upgrade RC6 --> 1.0 failed
i'm sorry its not working. i got a ispcp.conf from an backup of my RC5 some months ago and named it ispcp.old.conf, uploaded into /etc/ispcp/ and ran the update-script:

Code:
Your selection: 6
        Use of uninitialized value $cfg{"CMD_ISPCPD"} in concatenation (.) or string at ispcp-update line 231, <STDIN> line 2.
Can't exec "stop": No such file or directory at /var/www/ispcp/engine/setup/../ispcp_common_methods.pl line 756, <STDIN> line 2.
        Use of uninitialized value $cfg{"CMD_ISPCPN"} in concatenation (.) or string at ispcp-update line 236, <STDIN> line 2.
Can't exec "stop": No such file or directory at /var/www/ispcp/engine/setup/../ispcp_common_methods.pl line 756, <STDIN> line 2.
        Upgrading system values...      failed to get /etc/ispcp/ispcp.conf or /etc/ispcp/ispcp.old.conf

when i add the ispcp.conf of the 1.0.0 which was created by the script earlyer the mysql-error occours again... some strange stuff here...

PS: i speak german, if this is easyer for you.

RE: Upgrade RC6 --> 1.0 failed
ok...i got a old ispcp.conf from a backup and repeaded ALL steps... it is just not working. what can i do?

Code:
Stopping ispCP GUI-Backend communication Daemon: ispcp_daemon.
        Stopping ispCP Network Traffic Logger: ispcp_network
ispcp_network is already stopped (warning).
.
        Upgrading system values...done
        Upgrading database structure...ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
failed!
        SQL Update failed.

now i got a ispcp.old.conf which is the old RC5-config with the correct mysql-user and password. and i got a ispcp.conf which is just the template from the update... no hostname, no ip, no mysqlpassword, ...

some fix here?
