Problems with oscommerce

I have a oscommerce running on ISCCP and I have some problems, the compression does not work and errors with the sessions.
I changed the php.ini but every time I do it not display the page (blank).
Someone can tell me how to modify or add any already modified to try?

have a look in the error logs (apache) - or enable php-error-logging...

Have you reloaded apache after changing the php.ini?

Have you changed the right php.ini?
