How to change the port for a virtualhost ?
Hi,

I try to use an opensource solution to host video on my web server.
This solution is http://mediacore.com/
It's a python program and the installation is not easy, but it's look good Smile

I try to install it on a subdomain : http://video.domain.tld

But on my server, ispCP is runing with an Apache instance.

So MediaCore don't want to run on the port 80 because is allready in use.

How can I modify ispCP to run the virtualhost http://video.domain.tld managed by ispCP on another port (so the port 80 will be free for mediacore) ?

First of all, you have a faulty understanding of the virtual hosting system. Incoming connections go directly to some IP:PORT combination (disregarding the DNS name being used at the client side), so you can *not* open a given port from two different programs (apache+whatever).

That being said, what you need is to follow their guide on how to install mediacore in apache+fastcgi.

There are many ways to change the port for virtual host. They help you in managing single application server onto single machine. The secure and nonsecure server can be useful for this.
