Help a newbie with FTP!

Yes, my old hosting company uses ispCP omega so i've learned that there When i've been looking for help for this i noticed that, when all others has done "proftpd -n -d5" they have their domain instead my "ubuntu proftpd" is it just cause of login name/comp name or have they set their domain address somewhere coz they have "domain.tld proftpd" :o


edit: noticed that webmail isnt showing when i go cp.domain.tld/webmail it gives HTTP500 error..
