Just an FYI, i fixed the problem with using php5 rather than php4 with respect to teh php4-fcgi-starter file, my eAccelerator was not compiled properly for php5 ... once i recompiled eAccelerator properly, php5 worked fine....

So now i will switch over the trouble sites and see if they still get those error 500's
