That's korrekt, if it's only a &, but &> means something else: It redirects stdout and stderr (output and error-output) to the given file. (see http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO/Bas...tml#ss3.6)

Therefore, maybe it is missing at this point.
