RE: Mail traffic accounting
Kilburn,

it could work the way you propose it. It won't be perfect as multiple deliveries to 1 external address could be combined (depending of ther options etc). However it's good enough for me.

As a different approach I could suggest to modify the awk script to retain the final destination as an extra field. That information can be referenced back to the ispcp domain and mail that generated the redirect with a hash-table. This could be also easy.

Quote:This solution is far easier to implement than tracking queue-id's (have you ever tried to do this? there are times when logs are not in real processing order so you have references to not-yet-seen queue-id's and such...).
Yes I have done this. I create the ID as soon as I see it and then fill the missing pieces when I see them in the logs. I keep incomplete sessions in memory and dump them to database when they're completed (or perhaps deferred). Whoever designed the logs didn't think too-much about processing them.

However my solution is a full-featured tracking application with searchable database and is too-much trouble to be integrated in ispcp.

For now I think your idea could be a quick fix and would work properly.
