Puede ser la configuracion de postfix

Por defecto postfix genera noplaintext en el servidor de correo
smtpd_sasl_security_options = noanonymous, noplaintext

Edita la main.cf elimina si tienes esa restricción y renicia postfix.
smtpd_sasl_security_options = noanonymous

Deberia funcionar
