FreeBSD7 Help with this error, please

Hello
I have another problem whit the proftpd.
When i add a ftp user for the domain from the panel, if I look in phpmyadmin I see that the field passwd contains only ":" but not the password,
if i manually generate an encrypted password and put in the db everything works fine.
