Caused myself serious issues...

As suspected the upgrade took care of all the issues...

now to see if I can create yet another backup and then try to install curl and make sure they all work...

the package I'm working with that requires curl and openssl is

Have to figure out how to install a cert for a site if they decide to host on my box... Do I have to have a dedicated IP address for SSL? That doesn't make sense but could be achieved.
