Ein paar Fragen zu ISPCP

Guten Morgen,

ich besitzte einen Root Server mit einem CS und COD4 Clan. Bis jetzt lief auf meinem Server Opensuse 10 gefählt mir aber absolut nicht, schon von der Paketverwaltung / Paketen her.

Am liebsten wäre mir ja Jaunty 9.04 bietet aber der Provider nicht an. Muss eben Debian 5 her, ist ja fast da selbe. Ich sollte noch erwähnen das ich absolut kein Englisch kann, des weiteren habe ich den Server bisher immer über Plesk gesteuert. Bedeutet das ich ohne Panel in Sachen Domaine, Email, SQL und CO anlegen alt ausehe.

Kann ich die Installation wie im WIKI steht 1zu1 abarbeiten ?

Nun zum Webinterface selbst, laut einigen Beiträgen im WEB ist das Interface erweiterbar, nur wie und wo wird nicht erwähnt. Am meisten interessiert mich die Steuerung für Gameserver und Mumble.

Wir hatten mal zum Test Mumble installiert nur ohne Webinterface war das ja eine Katastrophe.

Würde mich über ein wenig Informationsmaterial freuen.

EDIT: Ich habe nun einfach einen versuch gestartet, und würde mich wundern wenn mal was nach Plan läuft.

Zum einen lief "apt-get install $(cat ./docs/Debian/debian-packages-`lsb_release -cs`)" nicht so ab wie im WIKI steht.

Bei mir war es wie folgt:

1) Mysql PW
2) PW bestätigen
3) Internet Site
4) Domaine eingetragen
5) FTP Standalone
6) Kompliemirte

Desweiteren geht es an dieser Stelle nicht weiter.

By default, a MySQL installation has an anonymous user, allowing anyone
to log into MySQL without having to have a user account created for
them.  This is intended only for testing, and to make the installation
go a bit smoother.  You should remove them before moving into a
production environment.

Normally, root should only be allowed to connect from 'localhost'.  This
ensures that someone cannot guess at the root password from the network.

before moving into a production environment.
