Proftpd behind NAT

hi all,

can someone tell me why the Proftpd server will terminate my connection when smartftp trying to enter Passive Mode?

then after around 30s. it prompts below:

Quote:Automatic failover of data connection mode from "Passive Mode (PASV)" to "Active Mode (PORT)".

Is it because my server is behind NAT? how to solve this problem, please?
