This works for a home laptop I use for monitoring.
It sends db backup reports and nagios alerts.
I haven't test for virtual mail.

Code:
nano /etc/postfix/main.cf
myhostname = my-isp.tld
mydomain = $myhostname
myorigin  = $myhostname
mydestination = $myhostname
relayhost = smtp.my-isp.tld

/etc/init.d/postfix restart
