Impossible to chance outside htdocs folder

I think this is a unique feature, the majority of webmasters already know to put their files into htdocs. There are way too many advantages to have files in htdocs, which relate to emails, ssl and lots of other things that need to stay outside of the "site files directory"

As BeNe said, you are better off informing your users via the Welcome Email.
