FTP account access

Hi there,
is any chance for connect and replace file at /var/www/ispcp using by FTP?? I would like update phpmyadmin and more.I tried replace uid and gid in SQL to 2000, but I can just read but writing has permission denied. use SSH for it is so much uncomfortable Sad
