The -R was everything i needed

Hi you have to use a -R (recursive) switch on chmod and chown command

chown -r 2008:2008 /var/www/virtual/mydom.com/htdocs

where 2008 is the user id and group id of the domain account
for chmod you can use in this way

chmod -r 0644 /var/www/virtual/mydom.com/htdocs
