Ispcp should be installed on a *clean* system. Ask your provider to give you an unmodified centos base installation with your VPS system instead of one preloaded with cpanel, as I'm quite sure that you will encounter many problems if you just try to go ahead with this cpanel-tampered versions of the base libraries.
