Sad cant connect after install on Debian Lenny and confused about nameserver
Hello ya'll,
I have searched this forum much before posting here; I'm surprised that there is not any clear-cut explanation about a few basic things. Also also noticed a few threads that seems to flourish with information then just fizzle-out once the reading starts getting interesting.

I have a VPS, fresh install of Debian Lenny 64bit
after the OS install, I visit my IP address in the browser I see:
It Worked!

------------------------------------
SIDE NOTE:
I have a domain registered through name.com
mydomain.com
also note my system hostname is: mydomain.com

At name.com I click mydomain.com
then I click "Manage Name Servers"
I create two hostnames:
ns1.mydomain.com > my server IP
ns2.mydomain.com > same server IP again
then just made those two the nameserver for mydomain.com by clicking Edit Name Servers
this is the method I successfully followed on my previous CP of Kloxo.
I had my own nameservers created after I logged into Kloxo
END SIDE NOTE
----------------------------------

So, I proceed to follow 1.0.5 instructions for Debian Lenny
and everything goes fine
NOTE: at Step 7 >> perl ./ispcp-setup
at the first part for FQDN I put: server1.mydomain.com
next part I just pressed enter: admin.server1.mydomain.com

Everything seems fine, but then after the install procedure
when i type the IP address in the browser. Cant Connect

at the end of the install instructions at step 9
it says check the /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf to disable IPv6
but it already says: Use IPv6 Off

and step 9 it says you can now access ispCP with your preferred browser by typing the admin address you specified during the installation process.

http://admin.server1.mydomain.com

But again nothing happens, not even the IP address.
Yes, I also tried rebooting the server.
Was a FIREWALL created or something else I'm missing?

I just feel that there is something missing in the installation instructions. It mentions nothing of a firewall or nameservers, etc...
I did follow the instructions exactly and yet everyone else seems to be able to connect via their IP address after the install procedure.
When I try to connect with the Arora browser it says: Connection refused
Firefox says: Unable to connect

Any help or comments would be welcome. Thank you :-)
