RE: Double upgrade - Ubuntu 8.04 to 10.04 and ispCP 2.03 to 2.05
I agree with motokochan.

I upgrade from Ubuntu 8.04 to 10.04 over ssh, but them my ISP offers the services of rebooting the server for me, or as a last resort, plugging in a device that I can control the PC remotely.

Upgrade IspCP first. then the OS.

Also, it will be advisable to maintain more than one SSH session while doing the upgrade. If one hangs or exits unexpectedly, then you have the other to use.

The one thing that always gets me if when I restart the network or flush and reset the firewall, which results in me being kicked out . So now I rely on network and firewall changes on reboot, which is safer for me.
