Since ubuntu 10.4 also is not compatible with ispcp - I'd wait...

hi, asked another senior member (i forgot who) and they assured me that ispcp under my ubuntu would be stable in a production environment. I have spend £200 in setup fees for a dedicated server plus 4 days trying to get this setup.

I have now downgraded my php to php 5.2 by removing all php softwares , changing my apt/sources list to lenny, and getting 5.2.

I hope this does not have any detrimental affects but since being told everything would be fine, I now have to move over all my clients to this new server.

I just hope that any upgrade to newer versions of ispCP will correct all these tweaks that everyone is making to make this "stable" release - stable.

** I will post instructions tomorrow on how i downgraded in case anyone else has the same problem as me. Will also help admins see what people are doing prior to 1.06

RE: php downgrade
Hi

I don't know who said ispcp 1.0.5 ist stable on ubuntu 10.4 - as you see it isn't.

Maybe the current trunk is working (have a look at the buglist) without problems. But I don't think so - the PHP 5.3 problems are not addressed all - and the Makefile for the proftpd.conf is still not updated.

RE: php downgrade
I did succeed to install ispCP with PHP 5.3, but it requires few changes in the CP code itself.

It appears to work, but most of the code out there is not really ready for 5.3

That's why I started from scratch and now I'm with PHP 5.2
