cannot create regular file /etc/bind/named.conf
Hello,

I'm getting an error while trying to install ispcp on my new server:
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 879.
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 879.
Use of uninitialized value $hostname in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 950.

Use of uninitialized value $hostname in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 964.
Use of uninitialized value $host in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 964.
/bin/cp: cannot create regular file `/etc/bind/named.conf': No such file or directory

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

RE: cannot create regular file /etc/bind/named.conf
I actually figured what it was, bind9 wasn't installed due to some path problems but no everything is installed but still errors:
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 879.
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 879.
Use of uninitialized value $hostname in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 950.
Use of uninitialized value $hostname in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 963.
Use of uninitialized value $host in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 963.
Use of uninitialized value $hostname in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 964.
Use of uninitialized value $host in concatenation (.) or string at ./ispcp-setup line 964.
ERROR: External command '/usr/sbin/postmap /etc/postfix/ispcp/aliases &> /tmp/ispcp-setup-services.log' returned '1' status !

I'm not getting asked for the FQDN anymore btw.

When I execute that command there's no error or anything.

RE: cannot create regular file /etc/bind/named.conf
Hello ;

Oh my god...

First, if you want receive any helping, you should provide us more information about your distro and codename, ispCP version...

Quote:I actually figured what it was, bind9 wasn't installed due to some path problems but no everything is installed but still errors:
All required packages should be installed correctly before launch the ispcp-setup script.

You run the script from the archive directly? If yes:

Please: read correctly the INSTALL file !

In my opinion, this issue is due to a Newbies story ! ! ! Big Grin
