Can I disable bind???

can I disable Bind? the management of the DNS are done with the domain-registrar, and mail server (postfix) is used exclusively for web scripts that make use of this service ... (Php-mail for example), the question, I think I can easily disable (bind) ... but I would like someone to confirm this.
