ispCP Omega failover server
Hi there,

Not exactly sure if this is the right place to post this thread, but I'll give it a try.

As you probably already have guessed by reading the title, I want an ispCP Omega secondary server that all traffic can switch over to if the primary server fails for some reason.

Data should synchronize every XX minute/hour (should be customizable).

DNS changes/entries will be changed manually unless there is a simple way to do this (I was thinking something like if ip X.X.X.X is not responding, use ip Y.Y.Y.Y). I should probably mention that we do not have our own DNS servers.

So, has anyone tried this and did it work well? Any suggestions/guides/tutorials would be appreciated. I found some threads in the German forums, but I don't speak German and Google translator kinda mixed up the sentences.

Thanks in advance,
Qwalk

RE: ispCP Omega failover server
There's a script made by Kurgans to migrate from one server to another that should suit your requirements. It is somewhat oldish though, so you might want to double-check the paths to ensure everything is still ok...
