ispCP don't send emails (and all virtuals too)
Hello everyone, thanks for reading this.

After a few days I'm out of ideas, where can be problem. So I will be happy, if someone can help me - thanks a lot!

Situation:
1) I've installed ispCP 1.0.7 RC2 on virtual machine - everything was ok.
2) I needed to change default domain name, so I did steps like in this thread - http://isp-control.net/forum/thread-10237-page-2.html . Everything was working alright, except email sending.
3) ispCP admin panel has stopped send emails and also virtuals with php mail function.
4) Interesting is, that sending emails via Webmail application is working fine.
5) No sign of errors in logs.

Steps i have done:
1) I have upgraded to ispCP 1.0.7 Stable (build: 20101124) in good faith, that it will help. Upgrade was succesful, but situation with emails is exactly the same.
2) I guess most similiar problem was resolved in this thread - http://isp-control.net/forum/thread-11785.html . But I really don't know, what to change in php.ini (fcgi/master/php5), there's nothing with hostnames :/

So I'm asking everyone for help, very thanks for reading this.

Running updated Debian Lenny 64x.
ispCP 1.0.7 Stable - build: 20101124

Edit: Could it be by settings of DNS of root domain? Eg. my FQDN is srv.domain.com, but I have set MX record of domain.com on google.. could it be? (but strange is, that virtuals cant send emails via php)

RE: ispCP don't send emails (and all virtuals too)
So, I have found reason.

I cant deliver email from server to adress, which has domain also on server. Well, hard to describe for me - so heres example:

1) I have domain mydomain.com
2) In ispCP admin area I set new virtual for mydomain.com
3) I edit DNS of mydomain.com like this: A record on IP of my server
4) but I also edit MX records on eg. Google Apps (both DNS change made via domain register interface)
5) When I try send email from my server on user@mydomain.com, it will be not delivered into Google Apps (because I guess server/ispcp has set his own MX record on himself)
6) When I try send email from server to any other adress, everything is ok.

So it's not caused by changin default virtual hostname, or FQDN.

Is there a way, how to correct it? Thanks for replies.

(11-13-2007 06:40 PM)rbtux Wrote:  then you have to remove the domain from your
"/etc/ispcp/postfix/working/domains"
and from "/etc/postfix/ispcp/domains"
and run "postmap /etc/postfix/ispcp/domains"
and run "postfix reload"

when my asumption was wrong please provide more info...

Before I will mark it like SOLVED, is there a simplier way, how to take out domains from postfix?

Maybe the connection on the SMTP has an error have you ever check it out. I think it has needed to change in the setting of the SMTP so you experience some problem in sending. However, you can try to search in online by using some search engine like google and yahoo.
