RE: Subdomains for domain-aliases
Well, the spam detector of the ticket system won't let me post it... This would be the content:
Quote:I think this should be implemented for 1.0.0, because it's something that you expect to be able to do in a CP.

I'll attach a patch with an implementation that works for me. As the code rewrite progresses this implementation should also be enhanced in order to keep down the amount of duplicated code. But right now there is duplicated code in a lot of places so this should fit in nicely...

If you are interested in this functionality, please test the attached patch and if it doesn't work for you, check out this thread in the forums:[[BR]]

Your detection algorithm needs fixing...

/edit: This is for RC6, r1318.

RE: Subdomains for domain-aliases
It enabled you to set subdomains for given domain aliases.

E.g. you have domain1 aus your main domain. You can perfectly set subdomains for that one. Domain2 will be your domain alias and you cannot set any subdomains as it is an alias. This mod will give you the possibility to give domain2 subdomains.

I hope this is the right explanation ^^

RE: Subdomains for domain-aliases
Ok I just tested the patch. As a user when I go to "Manage Domains" it now tells me "Query was empty" Sad

RE: Subdomains for domain-aliases
Might sound a bit silly or maybe I just can't find it but I think I've patched it correctly however I can't find any option to set subdomains for aliases. Do I have to do anything else than patching and inserting the mysql table?

Edit: Ok got it running. What would be good if in the subdomain table under name it would show the whole domain name e.g. www1.test.com so you can tell which domain you've got. That should be a quite quick change.

What I don't really like is when I create a subdomain onto the folder /htdocs/www1 it will create new htdocs etc folders in there. Is that behaviour expected?
