Upgrade from Vhcs2 Centos 5
Took me ages to get Vhcs2 running correctly, at the time the site was down so i installed vhcs2 then.
Can i easily upgrade now as i have all the required packages ?

First time i installed ispcp i couldnt access the configuration page (there was nothing modified in httpd.conf) so i installed vhcs2 then.

can i use my vhcs2 databases and stuff to ispcp ?

RE: Upgrade from Vhcs2 Centos 5
As you may see: there are people working hard on an update script to migrate from vhcs2 to ispcp.

You are welcome to test this script and help to get this to run so we all can concentrate on the release (or rc4).

It is in the engine/setup directory:
Code:
/var/www/ispcp/engine/setup/vhcs2ispcp.pl

BUT: The script is not ready yet, and i´m also unsure if the config for centos are uptodate...Rolleyes

I'm not saying that anyone should use the script on a production server. But the people who already are running vhcs2 can help by testing the update script - for others it's not that easy... :-)

RE: Upgrade from Vhcs2 Centos 5
well everything installed fine i guess (after a few tries)
i used the svn from 15.10.2007 since thats what greywolf in the "Updated script for trunk" used
i also used that guide to install (did everything manually, didnt use the script)
now im getting an error about ispcp_daemon

[root@server setup]# chkconfig ispcp_daemon on
service ispcp_daemon does not support chkconfig

[root@server setup]# service ispcp_daemon start
/etc/init.d/ispcp_daemon: line 55: log_success_msg: command not found
/etc/init.d/ispcp_daemon: line 90: start_daemon: command not found

is there a centos/fedora compartible init script somewhere ?
these are all debian functions like pidofproc is pidof in redhat
