Setting a subdomain as an alias
Hi guys!

I would like to set a subdomain (e.g. static.mydomain.com) as an alias to mydomain.com to serve static content through this url. Until now my ISP used Plesk, and everything worked fine, but in ispCP Omega I can not set this thing up, because it says "a domain already exists with this name".

I think there should be a way to achieve this.

Currently as a workaround I actually created the static.* subdomain and redirected to the main one, but I would like to avoid these redirects.

Thanks for your help!

RE: Setting a subdomain as an alias
If you really want a Alias (same DocumentRoot) you can add a line

Serveralias static.mydomain.com

in the /etc/apache2/ispcp/domain.com.conf file. This is included when loading the mydomain.com vhost config.

Otherwise you may need to check why it's rejected as double - there are severall options...
